(VOVworld) - The Inter Parliamentary Union General Assembly will take place in Hanoi from March 28^th to April 1^st.

Nearly 2,000 foreign delegates from 150 countries are expected to join the event. Deputy Head of the National Assembly’s External Affairs Committee, Vu Hai Ha, said most preparation and logistic plans for the event are complete. There will be a series of meetings during the General Assembly, including sessions dedicated to female parliamentarians, young members of parliaments , specialized groups and bilateral contacts. The General Assembly will endorse Hanoi Declaration reflecting major outcomes of discussions.
