APEC groups strengthen coordination in food security, response to climate change
(VOVWORLD) - Two APEC working groups met in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on Tuesday to discuss how to coordinate their activities in food security and climate change.

The Oceans and Fisheries Working Group discussed the outcomes, progress, and plans of projects to match priority development policies and looked at the draft Can Tho Statement on Enhancing Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture in Response to Climate Change. Participants agreed on the need to issue the statement.
The Policy Partnership on Food Security (PPFS) working group talked about emerging issues and solutions related to developing agriculture and aquaculture sustainably, boosting investment in infrastructure to ensure food security, and promoting trade and markets.
