(VOVWORLD) -The Trade Union of Cao Bang province has organized “Tet reunion-Spring sharing 2024” to help workers in difficult circumstances as the Lunar New Year festival is three weeks away.

The Union gave 350 vouchers to shop at 0-VND stores and 3,000 gifts worth 86,000 USD to workers in difficult circumstances. It also organized other programs to support workers, such as discounts to purchase essential goods, and folk games with valuable prizes.
Hoang Thi Giang, a resident of Cao Bang province, shared how she felt when she received a Tet gift, “I’m very happy. I also received a gift from the provincial Trade Union last year. This gift means a lot to my family. It’s true that one bite of food when you’re hungry is better than a whole meal when you’re already full.”
Cao Bang province has 3,000 Trade Union members and many of them are suffering from serious illness, vocational accidents, and lost jobs. Nong Hoang Hung, a worker for the Quang Minh company, said, “I hope the program will be expanded to reach people in remote areas so everyone will enjoy a sufficient Tet.”

With the motto “All Trade Union members and workers can enjoy Tet”, Cao Bang’s Trade Union has directed all its branches to work with local administrations and organizations to take better care of workers.
Pham Duc Khoi, Vice Chairman of Cao Bang’s Labor Federation, said, “This year we have new activities alongside the same activities as last year. We’ll give the workers gifts before Tet and reward those who have to work New Year’s Eve and during the Tet holiday.”
Cao Bang’s Tet Reunion program covers many more people this year to ensure that they all enjoy a happy and sufficient Tet.
