Bac Kan Culture and Tourism Week opened last Friday at Ba Be National Park with a performance featuring the diverse cultures of local ethnic groups and activities to promote the production of fragrant green pumpkin, an indigious plant. This is the second year Bac Kan has organized the event, with new features and cultural activities for visitors to experience.
In Can Tho city, tourists can take part in numerous entertainment activities, enjoy tranquil resorts with a southern feel, and explore inner city destinations on Free Walking Tours.
Quang Ninh city and travel agencies have created new activities such as music performances on tour boats and paragliding over the Tuan Chau tourism complex.
Pham Ngoc Thuy, Director of Quang Ninh province’s Department of Tourism, said, “Tourists have multiple choices of destinations to visit. They must have new ways of doing things, good products, and reasonable prices. The management agency alone cannot do it. Businesses and localities must play their part. Localities need to develop their own products and activities to promote their strengths.”
The 10th Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa Sea Festival will take place from June 3-6 with 60 activities, including themed performances at April 2 Square and cultural, sports, and culinary activities at the city center.
Nguyen Huy Han, General Director of the Viet Asian Tourism Company, said, “Nha Trang Bay is one of the most beautiful bays in Vietnam. It’s the most suitable place to organize a sea festival. We expect the organizer to organize new and creative activities to promote the very beautiful coast and beaches.”
This year summer is expected to be a "golden season" for Vietnamese tourism, creating momentum for the whole year, and contributing to the target of serving 100 million domestic tourists and 8 million foreign tourists.
