The 31st World Travel Awards for Asia and Oceania is opening voting at www.worldtravelawards.com until July this year. This is an opportunity for Vietnam to further promote its image internationally.

The VNAT says Vietnam is nominated in the categories of Asia's leading beach tourism destination, Asia's leading cultural destination, Asia's leading destination, Asia's leading heritage destination, Asia's leading nature destination, and Asia's leading destination for young people. The VNAT is nominated in the category of Asia's Leading Tourism Management Agency.

Ho Chi Minh City is nominated as Asia's Leading Business Tourism Destination. Hanoi is nominated in two categories: Asia's Leading City Short Break Destination and Asia's Leading City Destination. Hoi An and Hue are both nominated as Asia's Leading Cultural City Destination. Ha Giang province and Ha Nam province are nominated in the category of Asia's Leading Emerging Tourist Destinations. Ha Nam is also nominated as Asia's Leading Local Cultural Destination. Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City are both nominated in the category of Asia's Leading Festival and Event Destination. Phu Quoc in nominated as Asia’s Leading Luxury Island Destination, and Moc Chau as Asia’s Leading Regional Nature Destination.

Vietnam is also nominated in the areas of air travel and hotel accommodation.

Last year, Vietnam was honored in 45 award categories. At the national level, Vietnam was "Asia's Leading Destination 2023" and "Asia's Leading Nature Destination 2023". This was the 5th time Vietnam has been voted "Asia's Leading Destination", winning the title in 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023. For two consecutive years, 2022 and 2023, Vietnam won the title "Asia's Leading Nature Destination". Vietnam has become a popular destination for international content creators.

Voting on www.worldtravelawards.com will remain open until July 23, 2024. The public is encouraged to vote to honor Vietnamese tourism and promote Vietnam’s friendly, hospitable image.

The World Travel Awards, which was established in 1993, acknowledges, rewards, and celebrates excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism, and hospitality industries. The awards are recognized globally as the ultimate hallmark of industry excellence and have been called “the Oscars of Travel and Tourism” by The Wall Street Journal.
