National External Information Service Awards 2016 calls for submissions (media and publication)

National External Information Service Awards 2016 is organized by the Party Central Committee’s Commission for  Communication and Education and the Steering Committee for External Information Service to honor excellent media and publication works. Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) is Standing Agency of the National External Information Service Awards.

Content:

- Promote the image of Vietnam, the country of peace, stability, development, and pro-active international integration, friendly and dynamic people, and achievements of the renewal process. Confirm Overseas Vietnamese as an inseparable part of the Vietnamese nation and Vietnam’s ethnicity and foreign policies in the new period.

Forms and genres: 4 formats of media and publication

Media forms:

Include: news, stories, interviews, programs, documentaries, press photo, and landscape photo. Entries in foreign languages do not need to be translated into Vietnamese.

 Books: If published in Vietnam, submission must have permit of an authorized State agency.

Quantity:

Each individual author or group of authors is allowed to submit a maximum of 7 works or sets of works. For a set of works, a series of independent works are not eligible.

Regulations

 

Submissions must be in Vietnamese or a foreign language, and must have been broadcast via mass media or published in Vietnam or in a foreign country from January 1 to December 31, 2016.

For print and online newspapers: submissions should be in original or copy versions

For radio and TV: a submission includes document, CD, and USB of sound file or video file.

For Photos: submission must be enlarged on photographic paper sized 18cm x 24cm for single photo and 12cm x 18cm for set of photos.

Each entry must include name of the entry, name of author or group of authors, address, duration time of entry, time of entry broadcast or publishing and other information.

Contest entries must be submitted prior to March 31, 2017 (as seen in postal stamp).
