National External Information Service Awards 2016 to be announced May 31

A ceremony to announce the National External Information Service Awards 2016 for journalistic works and books will take place on May 31, 2017, at the headquarters of Radio the Voice of Vietnam. The National External Information Service Awards is honoring outstanding authors for the 3rd year. The organizing board has received 893 entries in 17 languages. Contestants include journalists, contributors to media agencies in Vietnam and abroad, experts, researchers, photographers, publishing houses, Vietnamese ambassadors abroad, and foreign ambassadors in Vietnam. Overseas Vietnamese and foreign friends have also submitted entries.
In a preliminary round, 69 works were selected to compete for First, Second, Third, and Consolation Prizes. The success of last year's awards reflects the growing prestige and importance of the national external information service.
