Addressing a forum on business reform and vocational education improvement in Hanoi on Saturday, PM Phuc said labor force’s productivity and quality is vital for the nation’s higher growth, economic restructuring, and growth model reform. Only when these vital factors are paid attention to, will Vietnam’s  dream for prosperity come true. He said: “Job skill is a major global issue, particularly important to a developing country like Vietnam. I have repeated the trilateral mechanism: State, school, and business. Businesses contribute to growth and play a role in technological transfer. Efforts should be made to train or retrain workers. If our education and training is good, the problems of untrained workers and labor structure will be solved.”

The forum highlighted a vision and desire for a more qualified labor force to increase labor productivity and competitiveness, meeting the demands of Industry 4.0 and international integration.
