The 10-day festival will feature 15 Vietnamese films and 10 foreign films from Austria, France, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Denmark, Czech Republic, the UK, and Israel. Some of them won awards at other international film festivals. The German film “Angela Merkel – The unexpected” is one of the highly-anticipated documentary films to be screened. Trinh Quang Tung, deputy director of DSF, said: “One of the highlights of the festival is a film about German Chancellor Angela Merkel. It is a model of how to approach and tell a story about a head of state. This is a brand new feature of the festival.”
