At the launch ceremony, Vu Thanh Mai, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education, said this year marks the 10th anniversary of the National External Information Service Award, which has been constantly innovated, improved the quality and influence of Vietnam's external information, and contributed to building and developing the national image globally.

“National External Information Service Award after nine seasons has affirmed itself as a prestigious national award with distinct features. The uniqueness is reflected in the diversity and richness of the 10 award categories, with participants from Vietnam to foreign countries and international friends; from professional, semi-professional to amateur authors. The Award sets no limits for innovation and creativity. The award committee welcomes authors from all regions of Vietnam and from all countries in the world,” Mai said. 

This year’s 10 award categories are video clip; initiatives and products with external information value; photo; TV; radio; book; Vietnamese printing press; Vietnamese language electronic newspapers and electronic information sites; foreign language printing press; and foreign language electronic newspapers and electronic information sites.

Eligible entries are works/products posted on mass media, published, released, announced, created, applied domestically and internationally, from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024. The deadline for receiving entries is July 31.
