1.3 million doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine arrive in Vietnam through COVAX
(VOVWORLD) - More than 1.3 million doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine supplied through the COVAX Facility arrived in Hanoi on Tuesday, bringing the total donation from COVAX to Vietnam to more than 27 million doses.
The shipment comes after the US donated more than 2.8 million additional doses of Pfizer vaccine, also via COVAX.
The COVAX Facility is co-led by WHO, Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness and Innovations (CEPI), GAVI - the Vaccine Alliance, and UNICEF as a delivery partner.
As of Tuesday afternoon, 92 million shots have been administered in Vietnam.
