(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism in cooperation with Vietnam Television organized a special art performance on Thursday in Hanoi as part of activities to promote patriotism and affirm Vietnam’s sea and island sovereignty.

This is in opposition to China’s illegal placement of Haiyang 981 oil rig in Vietnam’s exclusive economic zone and continental shelf. The performance organizers donated 140.000 USD collected from the performance to marine police and surveillance foreces and fishermen.
