(VOVworld) – 143 outstanding works have been selected for the final round of the 10^th National Press Awards. Speaking at a meeting of the judging board on Friday, the Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Thuan Huu, said the competition is a great event to honor outstanding works as well as excellent journalists and writers.
The 10^th National Press Awards received 1,660 submissions published in 2015 and the 143 most outstanding ones were selected. The works reflect Vietnam’s situation, the Party and State’s policies and laws and the government’s management.

Journalist Mai Duc Loc talked about the quality of the entries: “The works are very competitive in terms of content. Local news agencies, especially the printed newspapers and TV programs, are competitive compared to those of the central news agencies. The number of commentaries, and editorials has increased with the contents important to people’s lives”.
