(VOVworld) – The 2014 Vietnam-US labor dialogue is an opportunity to boost bilateral cooperation and a major step towards the signing of cooperative agreements in 2015, said Vice Deputy of the US Department of Labor Mark Mitterhause.

He made the remarks at the dialogue that opened Friday in Hanoi, noting that Vietnam’s Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the US Department of Labor have implemented several exchange projects and other activities to enhance bilateral cooperation in the past few years. Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Doan Mau Diep said he hopes both sides will conduct the dialogue in a frank and straightforward manner as they review their past cooperation and take steps towards sustainable future cooperation.
