(VOVWORLD) - The opening ceremony of the 2017 International Dance Festival took place Saturday in Ninh Bình province.
The festival gathers 9 domestic and 15 foreign troupes. At the festival, Vietnamese artists can learn from foreign dancers and popularize Vietnam’s land, people, and culture.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien spoke at the event: "It’s the second time Vietnam has hosted the International Dance Festival. The prestigious event gathers a number of outstanding troupes all over the world. The dance genres vary from traditional, contemporary folk, classical European, to modern."
The festival will continue until Friday.
