Major activities during the forum will include the ASEAN Tourism Ministers’ Meeting and their meeting with counterparts from China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and India, the ASEAN Tourism Forum on Travel Exchange (Travex), and other sideline events.

"The forum is a very important venue where ASEAN tourism ministers will review member countries’ tourism development and draw out solutions to attract more international visitors to ASEAN countries. We don’t separate each ASEAN country but consider us together as one destination. This is also a great opportunity for Vietnam to promote Ha Long Bay and other tourist sites as attractive, safe, and friendly destinations, said Nguyen Ngoc Thien, Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

The event attracts over 2,000 delegates, including tourism ministers, leaders of national tourism agencies, international organizations and partners, high-end hotels and resorts, airlines, and the media both within and outside the region.
