He nominated Republican Senator Marco Rubio of Florida to be Secretary of State and Republican Representative Matt Gaetz to be Attorney General.

Tulsi Gabbard, the former Democratic Congresswoman, was chosen to be Director of National Intelligence. Trump expressed his confidence in Gabbard's ability to protect the American Constitution and ensure peace. Gabbard is a politician, Army Reserve officer, and political commentator. She left the Democratic Party in 2022 but did not officially become a Republican until earlier this year.

These nominations will need to be confirmed by the Senate, where the Republican Party will hold a slim majority.
