(VOVWORLD) - As of 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday (Hanoi time), Japan led the 2024 Paris Olympics with six gold, two silver, and four bronze medals, followed by France with five gold, eight silver, and three bronze medals.

The top 10 also included China, Australia, South Korea, the US, the UK, Italy, Canada, and China’s Hong Kong.
Vietnamese swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang, badminton player Nguyen Thuy Linh, and female boxer Ha Thi Linh competed on Monday. Hoang finished 5th in his men's 800m freestyle qualifying heat and didn't make the final. He will compete in the men's 1,500m freestyle qualifying round at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Boxer Ha Thi Linh lost 0-5 to Yang Wenlu of China and was eliminated. In women's singles badminton, Nguyen Thuy Linh (ranked 26th) won 2-0 against Tiffany Ho of Australia (ranked 80th). Thuy Linh will play Beiwen Zhang of the USA (ranked 11th) at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday for a chance to advance to the knockout round.
