21,000 USD donated to disadvantaged children in Hanoi
(VOVWORLD) -Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh and Minister of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung visited and delivered gifts to poor children in Phung Chau commune, Chuong My district, Hanoi, on Friday, ahead of the new academic year.

The gifts included 30 scholarships, 30 bicycles, and more than 27,000 milk boxes. The Hanoi Fund for Protection of Children delivered 50 scholarships to children affected by recent floods. Labor Heroes Le Van Kiem and Tran Cam Nhung also donated more than 5,000 USD to build charity houses in Phung Chau. The total donations were worth more than 21,000 USD.
