21-member National Election Council inaugurated
(VOVWORLD) -The 21-member National Election Council headed by National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan was inaugurated at the ongoing plenary session of the National Assembly in Hanoi on Friday.
Deputies passed a resolution on ratifying the Vice Chairpersons and members of the National Election Council.
On behalf of the council, Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan thanked the National Assembly for their vote and said: “We are well aware that the success of 15th National Assembly election and the People’s Council election for 2021-2026 term will be important to the performance of the state apparatus from central to local level, particularly the task of institutionalizing the Resolutions of the 13th National Party Congress and party congresses at various levels to contribute to Vietnam’s fast and sustainable development. We promise to work closely with relevant agencies and try our best to accomplish tasks stipulated by the Constitution and law.”
Next year Vietnam will elect deputies to the 15th National Assembly and local People’s Councils in the 2021-2026 tenure.
