240 Vietnamese citizens repatriated from Singapore

(VOVWORLD) - 240 Vietnamese citizens were transported home from Singapore on Saturday in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The passengers included children under 18, pregnant women, the elderly, the sick, workers whose visas or employment contracts expired, and stranded tourists.

Immediately after landing safely at Danang International Airport, passengers and crew members underwent medical examination and were sent to a quarantine  facility in accordance with regulations.

Under the Prime Minister’s direction, authorities plan to bring more Vietnamese citizens home depending on individual’s need and Vietnam’s quarantine capacity.
