(VOVWORLD) - The Health Ministry announced 247 new COVID-19 cases Monday noon, bringing the morning’s count to 575.

The latest cases were recorded in HCM city (196), Binh Duong (17), Long An (13), Phu Yen (6), Bac Giang (4), Vinh Long (3), Dong Thap (3), Quang Ngai (2), Ha Tinh (2), and Bac Ninh (1).
220 of the cases were detected in quarantine facilities or locked down areas. Vietnam’s national COVID-19 tally has now surpassed 20,000, with 90 fatalities.
