(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam confirmed 4 new domestically transmitted infections of COVID-19 on Friday evening, according to the Health Ministry.

Two were recorded in Hanoi's North Thang Long industrial park and two in the northern province of Ha Nam. All of them are linked to patient 2899, a male migrant worker who returned from Japan to Ha Nam.
The same day, Vietnam confirmed 10 more imported cases.
Vietnam has recorded 13 new community infections over the past 2 days, after more than a month of no such cases.
All the new infections are linked to patient 2899, who tested positive after completing his mandatory two-week quarantine in Da Nang city where he tested negative thrice.
The total count of COVID-19 infections in Vietnam has risen to 2,928. 2,516 patients have recovered while the death toll remains at 35.
More than half a million people in the country have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
