41 local cases of COVID-19 added Friday morning
(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Health confirmed 41 new local COVID-19 cases in 4 localities Friday morning, raising the ongoing coronavirus wave's tally to more than 6,600.
Northern Bac Giang province detected 23 cases in quarantined and locked down areas.
Neighboring Bac Ninh province recorded 4 cases including 3 that had contact with COVID-19 patients and the infection source of the other remains unknown.
Ho Chi Minh city reported 10 new cases, including 2 related to the cluster that emerged from a Christian congregation based in Go Vap district. 4 other cases came into close contact with previously confirmed patients. The remaining cases are being contact traced.
The central province of Ha Tinh registered 3 cases that had contact with COVID-19 patients and is still looking into the source of transmission for another case.
More than 9,800 cases have been in Vietnam so far including 55 deaths.
