(VOVWORLD) - Ukraine must do all it can to ensure the conflict with Russia ends next year through diplomacy, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said in a Ukrainian radio interview aired on Saturday.

Zelenskiy said the conflict was likely to end quicker under US president-elect Donald Trump, who said often during his campaign that he would rapidly end the conflict, without giving specifics.
Leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) on Saturday reiterated a pledge to keep imposing severe costs on Russia for its ”militia operation” in Ukraine, through sanctions, export controls and other measures, and vowed to support Kyiv for as long as it takes.
