45th anniversary of Vietnam-Italy diplomatic ties marked in Rome
(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese Embassy in Rome held a ceremony on Friday to mark the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Italy (23/03/1973-23/03/2018).

In his address, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy Cao Chinh Thien highlighted the fine relationship between Vietnam and Italy despite many changes in both countries over the years. The two countries have gained many achievements in politics, economics, culture, and people exchanges after establishing their bilateral strategic partnership in 2013. Ambassador Thien said Italy is one of Vietnam’s important partner in Europe and the world, adding that Vietnam always attaches importance to boosting the two countries’ strategic partnership.
Speaking at the ceremony, Italy’s Directorate General for Global Affairs Ugo Astudo hailed the two countries’ achievements over the past 45 years, saying there exists more potential for bilateral cooperation in various fields.
