47th session of the National Assembly Standing Committee opens

th session of the National Assembly Standing Committee opened on Monday.

The participants discussed the promulgation of a resolution on regulations and working conditions of members of People’s Councils, the report by the Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court on costumes and licenses of the Judge of the People’s Court and salary and allowance for staff of the People’s Court. The National Assembly Standing Committee also contributed ideas to draft resolutions on classifying administrative units, the resolution on standards and the adjustment of administrative boundaries of administrative units, and resolution on administrative classification of urban areas.
The National Assembly Standing Committee reviewed the outcome of the 11th session of the 13th National Assembly and discussed preparations for the 1st session of the 14th National Assembly. The Committee is expected to approve the appointment of Vietnamese ambassadors for the 2016-2019 term to several countries.
The same day, they adopted the Resolution on wages for the People’s Council deputies and conditions to ensure the councils’ operations. They said the resolution was important for regulating the implementation of the law on local government organization.
