(VOVworld) – 5 Buddhist monks have been appointed to go to the Trường Sa islands for one year to help people there practise Buddhism.

5 Buddhist monks in Khanh Hoa province will go to Truong Sa Islands to help people there practice Buddhism.

Venerable Thích Tâm Thành and Venerable Thích Nguyên Ngọc will run a pagoda on Nam Yết Island. Venerable Thích Tâm Tánh and Venerable Thích Nhuận Huyền will go to Phan Vinh Island, and Venerable Thích Như Đạo from Trường Sa Lớn Buddhist Temple will be in charge of a pagoda on Sơn Ca island. In March, 2012, the Khánh Hòa provincial Buddhist Sangha sent 6 Buddhist monks to run 3 pagodas on the islands of Trường Sa Lớn, Song Tử Tây, and Sinh Tồn.
