50 collectives, individuals honoured for contributions to Overseas Vietnamese affairs
(VOVWORLD) - 50 collectives and individuals were honoured at a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday for their achievements over the past 3 years in Overseas Vietnamese (OV) affairs in the city.

Addressing the event, Vice Chairman of the Foreign Ministry’s State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, Ambassador Luong Thanh Nghi affirmed that the Vietnamese Party and State highly appreciate OVs’ contributions to national construction and development.
Last year, the increasing remittance sent by OV contributed to national development. 60% to 70% of total remittance has been invested in production and business in Vietnam.
OV experts and intellectuals have advised Ho Chi Minh city authority how to implement breakthrough programs set by the municipal Party Congresses from 2010 to 2020.
