(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam recorded 57 new COVID-19 infections on Sunday evening, including three imported cases and 54 in quarantine facilities, according to the Ministry of Health.
Among the domestically-transmitted cases, 24 were detected in Bac Ninh, 12 in Da Nang, 7 in Dien Bien, 6 in Ha Nam, 3 in Hanoi, and 2 in Hai Duong.
The latest cases brought Sunday's infection tally to 190, including 133 confirmed earlier in the day.
Vietnam has recorded 2,709 domestic cases including 1,139 cases documented since the new wave of COVID-19 hit the country on April 27.
On Sunday, Vietnam received nearly 1.7 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine from COVAX Facility, the WHO-led global vaccine sharing scheme.
