Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry declared a state of emergency following the earthquake.
No Vietnamese casualty in the earthquake was reported, said the Vietnamese Embassy in Cuba and Haiti, adding that the Embassy is maintaining regular contact with the Vietnamese community in Haiti, which includes 60 people, mainly working at the joint-venture telecommunications company Natcom.
