8 million tourists served during five-day holiday
(VOVWORLD) -The tourism sector served 8 million tourists during the five-day holiday from April 27 to May 1, up 14.2% this year, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism reported Wednesday.

Compared to last year, key tourist destinations like Sa Pa, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Phu Yen, Nha Trang, and Ba Ria-Vung Tau received more visitors, who stayed longer and spent more money.
Due to scorching weather, a majority of the tourists chose beach destinations or cultural and ecological attractions near a big city.
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory, Dien Bien province welcomed a record number of tourists.
