87 million USD saved by reorganizing administrative units
(VOVWORLD) - More than 87 million USD has been saved in the past three years as Vietnam downsized some 3,800 agencies at the district and commune level, according to a report submitted to the National Assembly Standing Committee on Monday.

More than 10,000 district and commune cadres and civil servants were laid off during the reviewed period.
According to the report, the savings have been used for poverty reduction, new rural area building, implementing social security policies, and improving people's lives.
