(VOVworld) – The Thua Thien Hue Hotel Association signed a contract on Thursday to sponsor 1,000 rooms in 11 hotels and resorts during the Hue Festival 2014. The sponsored accommodation, worth 50,000 USD has raised the total sponsorship for the festival to nearly 1 million USD.    

The Hue Festival 2014, themed “Cultural heritage with integration and development”, will feature Hue royal court music, Hue folk songs, and art performances typical of Vietnam’s former capital cities and 30 other countries.

Ngo Hoa, Vice Chairman of the Thua Thien-Hue People's Committee and head of the organizing board, said: "The Hue Festival 2014 from April 12^th to 20^th will welcome art troupes from 30 countries. It will include a meeting of ASEAN Ministers responsible for Culture and Arts and an international dance festival coming for the first time to Vietnam. This is an opportunity to promote local tourism."
