(VOVworld)- The expanded Ministerial Forum of Ayeyawady–Chao Phraya–Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) on Responsible Tourism opened in HCM City on Thursday.

The event was attended by the Tourism Ministers, representatives from the tourism sector and international organizations. Held within the framework of the International Tourism Expo 2016, the forum adopted the ACMECS Ministerial Statement on Responsible Tourism to confirm their commitment to responsible tourism. The signatories agreed to increase information and experience exchanges. They encouraged the education, training, and strengthening of capabilities and promoted cooperation between the public and private sector and the participation of international and non-governmental organizations.
