Activities held in “National Solidarity – Vietnamese Cultural Heritage” Week
(VOVWORLD) - "National Solidarity - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage" Week 2017 is taking place at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Son Tay district, Hanoi.

The event is held to mark the 87th traditional day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day. The event includes re-enactment of Cai Rang Floating market, the national intangible cultural heritage, with a performance art of Southern amateur music; workshop on the construction and development of the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in the new period, and the inauguration ceremony of the first phase of the Phap An pagoda.
Various activities took place in the Old Quarter of Hanoi to mark the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day. The program includes installation space on examinations in the past, workshop on traditional male clothes, introduction on Vietnamese tea, and performance of Ca tru (ceremonial singing) and traditional opera. Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Lan is deputy head of the Management Board for Hanoi’s Old Quarter: “We aim to preserve and promote the image of Ha Noi’s Old Quarter and raise people’s awareness about preserve cultural heritages. This is also an opportunity to promote Vietnamese culture to the world”.
