Activities mark War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day
(VOVworld)- On Monday, the Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union organized an incense burning ceremony at the Road 9 National Martyrs’ Cemetery, where are buried more than 10,000 soldiers who laid down their lives during the anti-US war.

The organization also tidied graves and burned incense at other cemeteries in the province. Similar activities are taking place in Thai Nguyen, Hai Duong, Tien Giang,and Hung Yen province to mark War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, July 27. They presented gifts to social beneficiaries. Local authorities of Ha Nam province visited and presented gifts worth more than 150,000 USD to more than 31,000 local war veterans.
To mark the occasion, the Voice of Vietnam organized an art program featuring songs in praise of Vietnamese soldiers and heroic mothers. The Vietnam Buddhist Association in Poland organized a requiem for martyrs.
