Activities marking War Invalids and Martyrs Day underway
(VOVWORLD) -The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and Nghe An province on Saturday awarded the "For Merit to the Fatherland" certificate to martyrs' families in Nghe An province.

Speaking at the ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue reiterated that the Party, State and the whole society always pay special attention to those who have devoted and sacrificed for the nation. Mr Hue said: “The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs should strengthen coordination with relevant agencies to better care for national contributors. We need to continue to review and perfect policies and laws on preferential treatment for national contributors and ensure that these people and their families fully benefit from the policies. We also need to ensure that their living standards are equal or higher than the average level.”
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue presented funding to build 20 houses for families of the national contributors.
Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan visited and presented gifts to war invalids and sick national contributors at the Nghe An sanitorium and Nghe An Care Center for War Invalids. The Vice President reiterated the Party and State's special care for and gratitude and acknowledgement of great contributions of national contributors.
On the same day, delegations of Ho Chi Minh City and Ba Ria - Vung Tau province offered incense at Hang Duong and Hang Keo Cemeteries, Con Dao district. The delegates expressed their deep gratitude for the merits of Vietnamese heroic mothers, and martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation. The same day, the delegations visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiary families in Con Dao district.
