The Cinema Department presented nearly 20,000 USD to Vietnamese marine police and fisheries surveillance forces.

In Hanoi on Wednesday, The Cinema Department of Vietnam screened a new movie about the life of Vietnamese fishermen who are determined to continue their fishing and protect Vietnam’s sea regardless of challenges or difficulties. On this occasion, the Department presented nearly 20,000 USD to Vietnamese marine police and fisheries surveillance forces.
That day, the Marine Police Zone 2 held an exchange with Le Quy Don high school students in Bien Hoa city. Students had an opportunity to meet and talk with marine police officers who have fulfilled their duty to defend national sea and islands.
In another development, the 6th poetry festival entitled “The homeland, its sea and islands”, will open in Hanoi this weekend. Kim Quoc Hoa, editor-in-chief of Nguoi Cao Tuoi (The Elders) newspaper, and head of the organizing board, said: "We expect a higher number of participants in this year’s festival. We hope Vietnam’s traditional poetry style with six-eight words/sentences will soon be recognized as Vietnam’s oldest traditional poetry form and an intangible cultural heritage"
