Vietnam’s growth will slow to 5.7% this year before picking up to 6.2% next year, if current policies are adhered to. Asian Development Bank’s Country Director for Vietnam, Tomoyuki Kimura, made the remark at a press conference in Hanoi yesterday to launch the Bank’s annual flagship publication, Asian Development Outlook for 2012. Kimura said inflation could drop to single digits this year if financial and monetary policies are maintained tightly enough.
