(VOVworld) – The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Vietnam have adopted the Country Partnership Strategy (CPS) to promote harmonious growth, improve economic efficiency, and ensure a sustainable environment. According to a report by the ADB office in Vietnam, the CPS will focus on key sectors - agriculture, natural resources, education, energy, finance, transport, water supply, and urban infrastructure. The new strategy will also assist Vietnam in institution and policy renewal including reforming state-owned enterprises and promoting growth by giving priority to disadvantaged areas and strengthening government’s capacity to meet challenges in environment and climate change. ADB’s assistance in infrastructure and rural development will open new economic opportunities and give the poor greater access to public services.
