They included 8 imported cases and 211 domestically-transmitted cases in Bac Giang (98 ), HCM City (61), Bac Ninh (38 ), Ha Tinh (5), Hanoi (4), Tien Giang (2), Lang Son (1), Hai Duong (1), Long An (1). All of the newly detected cases are in either quarantine or lock-downed areas.

72 COVID-19 patients were released from hospitals on Thursday.

So far, Vietnam has recorded 8,165 domestically-transmitted COVID-19 cases and 1,619 imported cases. 6,595 cases have been reported since April 27.  3,708 patients have fully recovered and 55 died. 16 cities and provinces have not reported any new cases over the past 14 days.
