(VOVWORLD) - An additional 3,000 medical personnel from medical schools and facilities around the country will travel to Vietnam’s major COVID-19 hotspots this week to help fight the pandemic.

They will support Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Long An, and Dong Nai in testing and treating people for COVID-19.
More than 14,000 medical personnel have already been deployed to HCM City and other pandemic-hit localities in the south.
The Health Ministry has provided HCM City with 10 new testing vans, along with enough personnel and equipment to analyze 3,000 test samples per day.
