Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai addresses the meeting

(VOVworld) Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has chaired an online meeting with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to review tasks for next year. He said the ministry should address difficulties to boost business production and build up major agricultural groups to increase exports. He praised the sector’s achievements this year as foundation to successfully fulfilling missions set out in Party resolutions: “The agricultural sector has a lot of room for development given its annual export turnover of 30 billion dollars. I call for more efforts to expand export market and improve performance in management to support farmers and provinces.”

The agricultural sector aims to generate 32 billion dollars from exports next year, contributing 3% of the GDP.
