NA Standing Committee deliberates bills to be passed at Assembly’s year-end session

(VOVWORLD) -The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee opened its 39th meeting in Hanoi on Thursday to deliberate draft laws under discussion at the legislature and those to be passed at the Assembly’s 8th session or year-end session.

In his opening remarks, NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man said two thirds of the time frame of the 8th session has passed and the session is required to be innovative and timely, removing obstacles, clearing resources, focusing socio-economic development.

The National Assembly passed a resolution on personnel work and three resolutions on state budget estimates. Deputies gave opinions on 19 of the total 22 bills and draft resolutions containing legal regulations expected to be submitted to the National Assembly for approval at the second phase of the session. The rate of unanimous approval is very high, he added.

The two-day meeting of the Standing Committee is set to review and give opinions on revisions for nine draft laws.
