Agriculture sector strives to achieve 3.5% growth this year, says PM
(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has urged the agriculture sector to develop specific plans to deliver on key tasks for achieving the sector's GDP growth rate of 3.5% and earning 55 billion USD or more from the export of agriculture, forestry and fishery products in 2023.

Delivering a keynote speech at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s review meeting in Hanoi on Friday, the Prime Minister praised the efforts and achievements of the agriculture sector and localities as well as the determination of farmers and the business community to overcome difficulties and embrace reform, which he said have made important contributions to Vietnam’s overall socio-economic development in 2022.
He requested building a brand, planning the raw material areas to meet the needs of the development, application of science and technology, green transformation, digital transformation, linking agriculture with tourism, and providing the capital resource for agricultural development.
