Aid pours into Ho Chi Minh City Hospital for Tropical Diseases
(VOVWORLD) -The Vietnam Fatherland Front on Sunday announced a plan to provide urgent necessities and meals for staff members of the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ho Chi Minh City, which is being temporarily lockdowned to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Front will receive donations from agencies and businesses, including 12 boxes of masks, 200 protective suits; 500 prosthetic ears for wearing a mask without ear pain, drinking water, fresh milk, instant noodles, and 7,500 breakfast meals for hospital staff.
Every day from Sunday to Wednesday, Ho Chi Minh City Youth Social Work Center provides 500 breakfast meals to the Hospital.
The Ho Chi Minh City municipal Health Department on Saturday decided to lock down the Hospital for Tropical Diseases for contact tracing and disinfection after dozens of staff members tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
