(VOVworld) – More than 100 militants were killed and 8 militant hideouts were destroyed during Sunday’s airstrikes by the Pakistani military in the North Waziristan tribal area.

The attacks targeted Uzbekistan gunmen in the Dehgan mountainous region, 25 kilometers from Miranhah, the main town of North Waziristan and a stronghold of rebels having connections with Taliban and Al-Qaeda. Earlier, Pakistan sent a ultimatum asking foreign militants in North Waziristan to leave the area or hand over their weapons.
