(VOVworld) – Algerian newspapers ran many articles praising the achievements of the Vietnam People’s Army since its establishment 70 years ago.

The El Moudjahid and Le Soir d’Algerie newspapers spoke highly of the Dien Bien Phu victory and the victory of the Vietnamese people and army during the American war. Le Soir d’Algerie newspaper said those victories were attributable to the solidarity of the Vietnamese people and army and assistance from foreign friends. Over the past 70 years, the Vietnam People’s Army has continued to develop and play an important role in Vietnam’s political life. The newspapers called the Vietnam People’s Army a reliable political and fighting force of the Party, State and people which has successfully fulfilled its tasks in the new period. They also highlighted Vietnam’s military policy of self-defense without using or threatening to use force in international relations.
