(VOVworld) - Suspected Al-Qaeda militants have captured Udain town in southwest Yemen.

 Yemen officials said five policemen were reported dead when the militants stormed the town of Udain overnight. The militants set fire to the police headquarters, post offices, and attacked the offices of the local government. Local officials said the offensive was seen as a countermove to advances by Shiite rebels gaining control over Ibb town several hours earlier.
